Beam splitters take on many forms, cubes, plates, hexagons, pentagons, polarizing, non -polarizing (usually somewhere in between), narrowband, broadband, dielectric, air-spaced, metal... It is our job to help you sort out specifications that will meet your requirements for performance and cost.
Some of the key parameters to think about are; the wavelength range, polarization and physical size requirements. We keep our standard 0.5" x 0.5" precision beam splitter cubes in stock. These cubes can be used with external mirrors to make michelson interferometers.

MacNeille polarizer made for use in one of our own instruments/ The MacNeille polarizer splits the s and p polarizations with 99.95:1 ratio. These polarizers work over a broad wavelength range but only over a small range of input angles.
Note: the non-45 degree angle of the beam splitter
P polarization is much more inclined to transmit at large angles (in the 45 degree range).
