INDEX-800 Series Excimer Lasers
Designed to provideultra-violet machining in a 24/7 manufacturing environment, INDEX 800 lasers provide the ultimate in gas lifetime and reliability.
A built-in cryogenic gas purifier, under full software control, extends the lifetime of every gas fill while constant optimization of the gas mixture increases the lifetimes of the laser vessel and high voltage components by ensuring the laser is always operating at the lowest possible discharge voltage. The vessel is constructed using ICON™ (Integrated Ceraminc on Nickel) technology for minimal changes in beam shape over its full operating lifetime. The marking of ceramics shown above is one of many applications for the these versatile industrial tools.

Pneumatically operated gate valves retain the gas fill and preserve the laser passivation during optics maintenance. Heavy duty optic mounts, with a patented keyed optic design esnure the highest pointing stability and remove any requirement for realignment after optics maintenance. Patented "soft" preionization and electrostatic particle precipitation technologies eliminate particulate matter from the discharge region and provide the highest beam quality and pulse energy reproducability.
The laser feature single sided service access and rapid servcing is facilitated by the use sliding or pivoting fixtures to attach all functional sub-assemblies. Laser plumbing is of stainless steel construction with pneumatically operating valving. The vacuum pump and halogen filter are integrated into the laser enclosure and the laser design is fully cleanroom compatible.
