From diode pumped lasers and gas lasers to etalons, lenses, prisms and michelson interferometers. Computer controlled polishing process that achieves ultra-falt and ultra-smooth surfaces

Shown here is a fused silica substrate with a λ/10 wedge that has been improved to λ/100 using the proprietary LightMachinery CNC polishing process

CO2 laser process development for a major pharmaceutical company. A systematic study of the material interaction and dependancies on laser pulse width and wavelength.
Design of a space flight qualified polarizing michelson interferometer, including matrerial selection for thermal compensation, phase analysis, dimensioning, tolerancing, fabrication, testing and quality plans.
Try the optical design tools developed by our engineering staff. We use them everyday to calculate etalon FSR's, do waveplate thickness calcualtions and check laser beam divergence.
Custom designed excimer laser attenuator provides very subtle energy control without distorting or deflecting the laser beam.
Development of a wave plate retardance mapping system to automatically map the retardance uniformity of a large area waveplate. This system was developed in order to ensure that our wave plates achieved extemely high retardance unifomities of +/- 0.5nm.
The design and fabrication of a piezo tunable Fizeau and Fabry Perot Etalon intereferometer. Selection of piezo elements, driver electronics, dimensioning and tolerancing of elements, fabrication and testing plan.
